Being a bride is a LOT of work! Even the most laid-back brides can get caught up in the craziness, stress and last-minute tasks the week before her wedding. If you keep this check list in mind then your big day is much more likely to be relaxing and happily ever after will be nothing but FUN...after all, isn't that what weddings are all about?!
1. MAKE SURE YOUR DRESS IS READY TO GO Save yourself future stress, and the night before your wedding, make sure your dress is protected and stored per your bridal boutique's instructions.
2. ORGANIZE YOUR ACCESSORIES You don't want to show up to your venue and realize you have no shoes to wear down the aisle, so take a moment and ensure all shoes, jewelry and accessories are wrapped and protected in one spot.
3. PACK A BRIDAL EMERGENCY KIT
Your bridal emergency kit will contain anything and everything you need to avert a day-of disaster, including straws so you don't ruin your lipstick! See what else to include here.
4. CREATE A BRIDAL PARTY PHONE LIST
Because no one memorizes phone numbers anymore, make sure your bridal party (and all your vendors!) have a list of the bridal party's phone numbers. Bonus points to the bride who emails and prints out copies for her attendants!
5. WRAP UP GIFTS WITH A PRETTY BOW
You have a lot of people to thank for being part of your big day, so make sure you've thanked them all and wrap all gifts (vendors, bridal party, family members, groom) and write out all cards before the morning of your wedding.
6.ORGANIZE YOUR VENDORS' VITAL INFORMATION
Organize all your vendors' contact information and contracts in a convenient place—we recommend a binder!
7. TREAT YOURSELF TO A MANI/PEDI
Believe it or not, your fingers and toes will be making an appearance in a lot of your wedding photos, so make sure they look their prettiest with a mani/pedi the day before "I Do."
8. SETTLE ANY REMAINING BILLS
In labeled envelopes, write checks for any remaining vendor payments.
9. TAKE CARE OF TIPS In separate labeled envelopes, include any day-of tips for your vendors' hard work (cash is usually recommended for these!).
10. DESIGNATE A LADY IN WAITING
It may sound a little absurd, but we promise you'll thank us later—assign someone to be in charge of helping you walk and carrying your dress during portraits.
